About Hunts

A family tradition

HANDCRAFTED IN DEVON SINCE 1805

We are a Devon cider maker with a long tradition and heritage, stretching back over 200 years.

Hunt’s Cider was established by N.P. Hunt in South Devon in 1805, and today his Great (x 4) Grandchildren, Richard and Annette, continue to run the business. We use the highest quality Devon cider apples, fermenting fresh bitter-sweet apple juice each Autumn. We source our apples locally because we believe Devon grows fantastic apples, and it gives us the opportunity to support our local economy.

We have maintained traditional methods whilst embracing modern machinery and processes. Whilst still making many of the traditional ciders that our customers have enjoyed for centuries, we also make a range of modern sparkling and fruit ciders. All of this combines to allow our skilled craftsmen to make a handcrafted, authentic Devon cider with a unique and refreshing taste for you to enjoy. We hope to be able to continue make ciders for you to savour for generations to come.
